Win some cool HillRunner.com gear!

It's Boston Marathon time! You know you're already thinking about who will win and how fast the winning times will be. Why not win something with your predictions?

We'll have two winners, one each for the men's and women's races.

How to enter:

- Pick the top 3 for each race
- Pick the winning time for each race
- Get them to me, via comments, contact form, email, Twitter, Facebook or any other method available.

Scoring

If one of your chosen top 3 wins: 5 points
If one of your chosen top 3 finishes second: 3 points
If one of your chosen top 3 finishes third: 1 point
2 bonus points for each runner who finishes the exact place you pick for them.
In case of tie, the tiebreaker will be whose predicted time is closer to the actual winning time.

Again, the men's and women's races will be scored separately. We'll have a winner for each.

Here is the most recently updated elite entries list I was able to find.

The elite women start at 9:32. I will accept any entries received by 9:00 Boston time (8:00 Central) race morning.

I thought Desisa was a bit of a risky pick seeing as he's coming off Dubai but I guess he's just viewed here at least as the class of the field.

Unofficially, Cesar wins in the women's predictions, via correctly calling Mare Dibaba for second.

Unofficially, Cesar is the master prognosticator by way of tiebreak. We had a 3 way tie for first in the men's contest. Cesar's 2:08:35 was 42 seconds faster than Lelisa Desisa's winning time. Others predicted even faster winning times.

Yes you did. It looks like the results above hold up officially. I'll contact you soon Cesar.

I'll also pick one of our second place finishers based on who was closer to Cesar's predictions and be in contact with that individual.

As for my personal predictions, I was bad but at least consistent. In the men's race, I got the winner right. In the women's race, I had Dibaba third and she finished second and I had Deba winning and she finished third. My real consistency was in the time predictions. I predicted 1:29 fast in the women's race and 1:34 fast in the men's race.
